Developments...
Well, time to let the proverbial cat out of it's bag. Why we would ever keep a cat in a bag in the first place I do not know...but aaaanyway. UPDATES!
-So I got offered a job over spring break at the recording studio in Philly I have been working at. Basically the owner told me I could start engineering there if I wanted to, and that I could get started by doing some sessions with him and the other engineer. This is fabulously exciting for me. It was nice to feel like I had some talents that were being recognized, but beyond that, I feel like I am finally getting my foot in the door here. I can get some great experience, and begin moving toward a career in music.
-I am not going to quit teaching just yet, I still have a lot to learn about sound engineering before I can charge enough to make a living, and I need to build a client base/reputation, but it is a start. I did however realize that I could charge a very inexpensive amount per hour, and work a 20 hour week and make more than I do now. You do the math, Mathy McAddsalot.
-School is back in session and I am now coaching lacrosse again. Boys this time. Whole different world. More on this in the near future.
-Baseball season starts up this weekend. Sox/Yanks. Finally I can have something to care about again.
-Record is done. Needs to get it manufactured. Finishing up artwork and then off to the presses, and then on to stardom.
-Hot party in the city this friday night. If you are in town swing by. If you happen to find yourself on a plane from wherever you live, I don't know say, Chicago, or Austin, on your way to Philadelphia, you too should swing by. Wandering the east coast like Cane from Kung-Fu? Wander on over to the apt.
-Writing lots of new tunes. Trying to get in touch with my inner Elliot Smith. Good times.
-Meeting tons of really smart supermodel calibur hot chicks with wonderful jobs helping other people that make them tons of money and wonderful families who like me. sigh.
-I had a crazy dream this morning after I hit the snooze button. I dreamt it was morning, and I was still in bed, but on my bedside table for some reason was my turtle, Nurtle, except in a tank not a cage, and in the cage with him was a mouse for feeding (my turtle is a herbivore btw), and he chomped down on the live mouse and it was squeeling. Then I woke up. I have since come to the conclusion that I am totally f-ed up in the brain.
